Sara Young, DVM

Dr. Sara Young is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian with a unique journey that reflects her diverse interests and commitment to animal care. Graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2010 with undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and German, Dr. Young initially embarked on a different path before discovering her true passion.

After gaining valuable experience in the field and completing prerequisite coursework at the University of Washington in Seattle, Dr. Young pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 2021, marking the culmination of her educational journey.

Throughout this transformative experience, Dr. Young called Central New York, Seattle, and Denver home before ultimately returning to the East Coast to settle in Boston. Her diverse background and exposure to various regions enrich her perspective as a veterinarian.

Dr. Young's favorite aspects of general practice include preventive care, forming lasting bonds with clients and their furry companions, and helping senior pets enjoy their golden years. Her empathetic approach and dedication to the well-being of animals and their families define her role in veterinary medicine.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Young finds joy in exploring New England with her husband, immersing herself in literature, and indulging in crafts involving yarn. Her multifaceted interests and genuine love for animals contribute to her holistic approach to veterinary care.
